Where do you keep your cellphone. Do you rock it in your pocket? Do you clip it on your belt? Does it hang with the boys? Or do you let chill with the girls?If you answered yes to any of those questions. And most of us have. Would you be just as likely to do that if your cell phone came with a warning about radiation exposure?This week Congressman Dennis Kusinich introduced the Cell Phone Right to Know Act. This would require radiation warning labels on each cellular device. So at least then all people buying phones can make an educated decision.It's a radiating piece of plastic. Do you want it next to your testicles. I don't. But does that radiation definitely lead to cancer? It's still being debated. Kinda this was being debated. That's debatableWell Here's the best part The Cell Phone Right to Know ActIt would create a research program to study these radiation levels in cell phones. And that research would not be funded by the wireless industry.It would also require EPA to update its standards for the amount of radio frequency energy your body absorbs while using a cell phone.But the cell phone lobby is strong and there's no telling how long it would take for this measure to pass. So in the mean time we'll bring you tips, to stay safe with your cell. Alright so just to recap. Dennis Kusinich introduced the Cell Phone Right to Know Act this week which would inform people about their phone's radiation and prompt further research into the effects of exposure. In the meantime though, you can use the following tips to keep yourself protected. 1. Keep distance between your phone and your head. The closer your phone is to your head, the worse it is. Use speaker phone if possible. Wire headsets and the Bluetooth help, but the Bluetooth especially, still emits radiation.2. Keep the phone away from the baby makers. Unless of course you want your kids to look like this.3. Wait for a good signal. If you make calls with like 1 bar, your phone is working extra hard to make that happen. When your phone has to work, it radiates more. So if you're losing the 'can ya hear me now game' . Find a passenger pigeon. 4. Avoid moving long distances and talking. Your phone emits more radiation when it's connecting to towers. So if you like talking while driving, your vital organs may not. 5. Text as much as possible.
