http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12463/6791602?cpt=8&wpid=2637 Fri, 17 Feb 2017 11:55:22 +0000 News on the Go: The Morning News Edition 2-17-17 Dan Cummings and Jennifer Sanders have all your morning news in Central NY. http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12463/6791602?cpt=8&wpid=2637 WSYR ABC 9 Syracuse a man behind bars this morning, accused of plotting to bomb at a number of target stores-- starting right here in syracuse. jennifer: 48 year-old mark barnett reportedly offered a confidential informant 10- thousand dollars, to place bombs at ten different target stores along the east coast -- starting somewhere in the syracuse area. investigators say barnett wanted to make the company's stock value plunge so he could buy up cheap shares. investigators confiscated the bombs, which were deemed potentially deadly. barnett is a convicted felon and registered sex offender. jennifer: a new owner is looking to get the great northern mall back on its feet. a long island company-- kohan retail investment group -- took ownership of the mall-- and is setting a goal to fill up the empty shops. mike cohan, part of the company, tells us he already has some tenants lined up to fill those spots. jennifer: demolition work is on hold at the site of the former howard johnson's in carrier circle. the demolition company has been put on hold for the last three weeks as they wait for final payments from the developer. they say about 75-percent of the work is done. we've reached out to the developer -- chase hotel group -- and have not yet heard back. they plan to build two new hotels. jennifer: the central new york boat show is at the fairgrounds. the center of progress, horticulture and exhibit center buildings will have over 500 power and sail boats on display! tickets are ten dollars. the show runs from one to nine today, and ten to nine tomorrow and
