Cheap Flights Tue, 07 Mar 2017 16:13:55 +0000 Cheap Flights Cheap Flights KTVX ABC 4 Salt Lake City it is tech time tuesday, christopher joining me now. this is one of those moments that if you are watching at home zoning out or in the studio, stop. stop right now and listen up because you need to know about how to get the most affordable flight. >> every tech time tuesday you should stop and listen. >> i'm trying to help you, that is all i try and do is help people every week. >> this is i told you my packs. i don't love searching for flights but i love finding that aha deal flights. i love traveling. i've traveled all my friends know that i travel a lot. and i get complaints or people say to me all the time, i could never travel like you do. and you can. you just have to put in a little bit of effort. and you have to be flexible as well. >> christopher just said he got this insane deal on a flight to australia, all of our jaws dropped and that is what i want to know how to do. >> i gots round trip will. avmentd to australia, new zealand stop over for free for $794. and then i added a couple other places going up to the south pacific, fiji back to australia, so the whole thing is about $15 hundred. >> christopher, spill it. how did you find that deal. >> there are different ways to do this, you have to check all of them. because airlines partner up with different apps or different programs to share their flight, right? so one of them that i really love is google flights. now google flights is actually a website. >> you don't have to download it. just do a google search for google flight and it will be the first search that pulls up. >> i have heard from several travel agents that say it a great place to start. >> google flights is a great place to start because you put in your origination airport and then your destination, and as you click on the days, it will actually give you a grid to show you, and i have that pulled up here within of prices on each day. >> it will give you a grid so that grid there is too lyul actually showing prices of flights and the green prices are the cheaper prices and so you can say oh, okay, we can't leave this week but if we leave the following week it is $300 less. >> or let's go on a tuesday, not a friday. >> so it keys in to all of those things and allows you to see when your flexibility needs to be. >> does it alert you if prices drop. >> yes, you can actually just check a box, say alert me when the price changes. not only drops but rises, right? another one is one that i think most of us have heard of, expedia. >> yeah. >> expedia does kind of the same thing and searching all the airlines and all the variations. and then lists them in price order. >> do you like it as much as travelocity. >> travelocity slt same kind of thing. and i actually do travelocity as well. there is actually a website that will search all of them at once. be careful when you do that because when you press search, 15 screens pop open and you don't know what you are looking at. so it can get kind of con faasing that way. >> where about apps. you have about 60 seconds left. >> i use hopper. the reason i use hopper is because hopper actually shows me not only the price but it will show me as well if i want to watch it. and it will say prediction so the flights to new zealand are going to vary over the next four weeks dropping as will as $905 but after april 2nd they are going to start climbing. and then it will say april 20th is the depar tur. >> it even gives you a date. >> it will give you a date, according to past. >> have you noticed there is a better day of the week to book flights, that is proos are a little lower. >> not necessarily. but check ef reday. >> okay. >> the google plap, or the google flights map or calender map is the best one to see. because you can see months out and the prediction where it's at right now. >> we were all tuned in. >> good. >> everything you just said, if you need more, everybody you you need a tech life coach. go to his website right there on your screen, you can follow on social media and
