[a21]madera movie angelica-ll pkg the faith-based movie is called "victory by submission" but "autry" and "prieto" say not your typical inspirational film . they say it's filled with griddiness and action. no cg: brett prieto/ madera police department "blood, sweat and tears went into this thing." madera police officer brett prieto is fulfilling a life-long dream. sot/ prieto "i really enjoy acting and now that's its all kind of come to fruition, it's fun where you say see i could do it." prieto was cast as "tommy hendricks" in alan autry's new movie..."victory by submission" sot/ alan autry/ director/victory by submission "he came in and read the first two lines and i knew i had my guy." autry says the faith-based movie is about redemption and relationships and touches on real life struggles... from p-t-s-d to alcoholism. sot/ autry "it's set in the world of mixed martial arts which has a term victory by submission, knock somebody out you can make them submit but in the faith based world it has a totally different meaning, it's submission but it's submitting away from yourself and submitting to god." the movie took nearly three years to make. filming throughout fresno, clovis and madera.... and created dozens of local jobs. autry wasn't the only big time hollywood actor on the roster. sot/ autry "lee majors, eric roberts, fred williamson, racheal hendrixson is in the film but all the other actors are all local" prieto says the grueling schedule was hard at times. he still made time time for family and continued working as a police officer. prieto says he's thankful to his brothers in blue for letting him shine. sot/ prieto "i couldn't have done it without them, i couldn't have." the next screening is sunday, march 19-th tickets are five dollars... we'll have a link on our website your central valley dot com with all the details. angelica lei
