Recognize this guy? Video: Meet Muse Watson!
Recognize this guy? Mon, 20 Mar 2017 12:07:31 +0000 Meet Muse Watson! Recognize this guy? WEVV today, amanda? y'all know that i'm always looking for interesting people, and stories to tell. last week i got the chance to talk with someone you'll recognize from c-b-s and fox...muse watson. gretchin: you'll recognize him from prison break and ncis, but muse watson started in the theatre. how was the transition from stage to screen? muse: typically for stage you're taught the british way of acting, which is you become another character. unlike hollywood, when you get into hollywood you're the same person, you just change your occupation. so it was a little disconcerting for me. i played the good guy in something to talk about and when i get to la and go to hollywood they are like you're a good guy, and i said let me audition for a bad guy, and they said no you can't audition for a bad guy. you're not a bad guy. well, i fought that until i created a horror icon with i know what you did last summer. and of course after that they wouldn't let me play a good guy. so then i fought that and fought that and its been very interesting, but you're right, it's an incredible transition to try to make. gretchin: with a ton of credits to his name muse: if you don't count the movies made for television, and only the movies made for theaters, i think there's been 51 films maybe and a couple hundred tv shows. i just had to know if he has a favorite role? muse: my next one. i really enjoyed working with julia roberts on something to talk about. gretchin: what you may not find when you google him, is that there is a cause very near and dear to his heart. muse: yes, organ donation. its just, i'm a 28-year recovering alcoholic. don't nobody tell me that they think that their body has been through so much that they won't be an organ donor. one of my dearest friends in the world lost his son. he helped like 25 people with stuff like skin, eyes, and stuff like that. so it's a little bit of a misnomer to say organ donation. what we are doing is like finding homeless people without shoes on and when we die we're letting them have our boots, that's all it is to it. the one thing i forgot to ask was...does he really know what i did last summer? we're planning some fun for the kids during spring break this year.... it's called spring break stars!... students on spring break -- can be on our morning show the week of march 27th through the 31st.... the kids will get the chance to star on t-v - and learn what goes on behind the scenes of a news operation.... for more details - just go to the 44news this morning facebook page... parents can also email submissions to news-at-wevv-dot-com - using the title spring break
