"some negative coverage was enough to say 'hey wait, that's not a fair representation.' there are some challenges, but there's a lot of positive things, and we need to focus on those positive things, and acknowledge that there's some challenges"and now you can share everything you love about our area, just use #myerie from your cell phone." phone.""we're giving an opportunity and an avenue for people to step up and talk about how great this community is."from now until labor day, organizers are asking people to use #myerie to share what they think makes erie a special place.a committee will sort through all of the #myerie posts and pick a winner.the grand prize is valued at about 15-hundered dollars -- made up of what's called the best of erie. organizers say the campaign will boost morale around the city, and remind people that when erie gets knocked down, it will always come back.
