http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12451/7063999?cpt=8&wpid=2637 Mon, 28 Aug 2017 03:41:47 +0000 "60 Yard Line" stars on Sports Xtra Part 1 "60 Yard Line" producers, writers, and actors Ryan Churchill and Nick Grecko stop by Sports Xtra to preview their upcoming film based on the Packers ahead of it's statewide release. http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12451/7063999?cpt=8&wpid=2637 WFRV blak blank blank whrang welcome back to sports xtra, there have been several movies shot in the state of wisconsin, some of the recent one center around a commenter in the green and gold, joining me are the producers, writers and lead actors ryan churchill. >> that guy on the end is nick greko, how have you been. >> you spent a lot of time, we'll talk about how you grew up and how he grew up. >> you are in packers badgers brewers country, right. what. >> we saw the signs on the way in. it has been a labor of love. >> it is sooner than labor. this film will be out there for packer fans around the state of wisconsin, and the check out. >> september 7th it will open everywhere. st on a labor pause. it's been great. we are finally done and it's a theatres and we are ready to play. >> obviously there are some financial practices when you do an independent film, there is travel, for a guy like you he is from here and it is a passion project in a way. for you, what was your inspiration. it is a romantic comedy, a buddy comedy but it centers around packers life and living near lambeau field. >> . it is a packers based film. so it had a little-- thinking on that one for a few nights. it is a great script that he brought to me and it's more of-- it's a football fan fans in general. so despite being a packer film, everyone can kind of relate to it no matter what sport. >> for you there are the comedy bit but there is also a love story involved, right? >> there is. everybody enjoys a little love story even us manly men that watch sports at 10:30. yeah, no, i'm a sucker for a romantic comedy, and there definitely is a good, good guy tries to get girl story to it and along the way you guys got hooked up with former players. we will look at a clip, what was that like, just one guy, once we got one, the dominoes started to fall because there are several appearances in this, we tried our best to get as many players as we possibly could. it is hard being such a small film that we don't have the money to go after everybody. we cast a wide net. and luckily a lot of players were game, showed up on set when we asked them to. it was always-- are they going to show up. >> it is kind of like a rock star an a movie star, everyone wants to be in a movie or play in a band. you even wrote something in. >> yeah, it was great, spoiler alert, he's in the movie. >> let's set up that first clip. you literally run into the mountain of a man they call taush. >> yes, great guy so this scene kind of-- the film was based on actual event. so this seen we basically dram advertise a little bit how the two guys meet, their first actual football player on the street just outside of this house that has become. >> all right, take a lack here is a clip from the 60 yard line. >> sorry. >> the 224th pick. born june 17th, 1977. size 1r5 shoe, favorite movie is kindergarten cop. >> can you sign this for me? 75 man roster handwritten. >> does anyone ever call you the taus hmajal. >> no. >> look if you have met him, is he a pretty funny dude, and smart. was it cool working with him. >> absolutely. mark, we have become friends. we were friends a little bit before then and since then have become close friends. he is the gentlest giant and just you know, nice guy. his performance was amazingment you worry as a filmmakers you really worry about professional athletes because sometimes they can well, you you've seen bad commercials. >> we have got a lot of them yeah but they, like how real was that, like just keep it real and like documentary style and he nailed it. it also centers around the house. there is a packer party house. some of them weren't they happen to be one of yours, you have props in it including a couch where you guys kind of hang out and the chair, not only give it all away, you center this all the way, didn't you. >> absolutely it's based on the actual house. we stayed there the whole shoot so we can sleep upstairs and walk downstairs on set which is convenient. and most of the house was already set designed. >> all the memorabilia is around, it is easy. start shooting. >> here is another clip that from their movie, the 60 yard line. this is not where i imagine getting drunk. tiny tv scented candles there are birds everywhere, you say it fits our age. >> what does that mean? >> she loves it but do you live, laugh, love it? dude there is your house too. where is the pride for the green and gold. >> you moon the world champions. >> that kid is sick. >> i don't know how you see them there there is the rivalry right there. >> yeah, ready to go, aren't you? >> when we come back on sports xtra i'll keep these two apart during the break but for from the mel fellas on the 60 yard line. when we put this film together, you say a couple packer players part of the movie. >> the cast and crew headed to wisconsin-- distinctly wisconsin flavor in many ways that and more when we
