http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12503/7077037?cpt=8&wpid=2637 Tue, 05 Sep 2017 20:28:03 +0000 Database - 9/5/17 Database - 9/5/17 http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12503/7077037?cpt=8&wpid=2637 KOLR [?] >> jeremy: welcome back y'all. we're lounging today on "ozarks live!." we want to welcome to the show -- they wouldn't dance with us. >> kelly: these guys are professionals, jeremy. >> jeremy: we're going to welcome to the show jonah and vance from database. it's one of our sponsors of the 1 million cups business spotlight. we love database. i personally love apple. they don't pay me to say that. >> guest: it's awesome. i can't blame you. >> jeremy: how is it going at database? >> awesome. business is great. we came out with new products. the ipad pro has been around longer. but the mac book pro has come out with the touch bar. it's awesome. it's been great. >> jeremy: what are the concerns about the touch bar? i know kelly said she's afraid of it. >> kelly: i've had an ipad. and i feel like i don't know how to use it. maybe you can show us. >> guest: yeah. so actually, i brought the ipad pro with me. the ipad pro, it's -- i brought the smartpencil with it, too. >> kelly: that's what i need. >> guest: it's the newest thing to migrate you from -- it's supposed to be more of a mobile computer. they basically improved a lot of stuff on the inside to operate like a computer should be able to operate. but it's mobile. so you can take it anywhere you need. it can do split screen. it's got speakers in every corner. it's got awesome sound quality and sharp, beautiful display. we figured we'd show it off. >> kelly: how long has this one been out? >> the ipad pro has been out for a year and a half. >> jeremy: what's the difference between the ipad and the pro? >> guest: the main difference is the processing power. that's the main difference. it's going to be a lot faster. put out crisper display. it's overall more powerful. >> kelly: better camera? >> guest: it does. it's designed for professional use. architects in the field, graphic designers. >> jeremy: do they number the ipads like with the iphones? >> guest: kind of. it's different. they've got different models. they just recently discontinued the ipad air and replaced it with the ipad. they do number them. but the numbers don't get high. >> kelly: do they lose their value quick? i've probably had mine four or five years. what am i missing out on? >> guest: they hold their value well. we have a lot of customers who bring in the ipad two. that's common. the life of them, is incredibly long. and what you can do with them will last for a long time. the ipad 2 has been out for years and years, and you can still operate the operating system on it, it's awesome. as far as value, ipads hold well resale value because they're mobile. >> kelly: do you take trade-ins? >> guest: we don't. >> jeremy: how is the ipad mini? >> guest: it's still up and going. it's great if you're trying to read on the go. i found it to be the perfect application for that. yom are you the premier place to come to for apple products and repair, correct? >> guest: yes. >> jeremy: joy has been having bad luck with her mac book pro: and you guys fixed it. is there any problem you can't fix? >> guest: for the most part, we're able to do pretty much everything instore. there are very few issues that apple requires that we mail directly to them for service. for the most part, we're a fully authorized apple service provider and can do everything in-house. >> kelly: can i do classes, too? >> guest: of course. that's one of our main services that we offer is training. we have classes that we put on once a month in each category. we do a mac os basics for laptops and desktops and mobile devices. and we have imovie classes and things like that. and we have individual one-on-one training, where you can sit down and we'll walk you through your problem. teach you how to use everything better. navigate through things faster. it's awesome. >> jeremy: can i sign her up for all of those classes right now! >> kelly: i need a personal tutor. >> jeremy: she asks me, can you sit we me and teach me. i don't have time for that. >> kelly: i need my own teacher. i need to see one-on-one instructions. >> jeremy: one more thing, since you're in the industry and i love apple. i heard a rumor, there's a in iphone coming out in september. do you have any scoop you can give us? >> guest: so far, only rumors. >> kelly: see. >> guest: apple is notorious for not telling anybody about new stuff until two weeks before. i try to keep the scoop on it. i'm in an apple master's program. and they try to allude to things that might happen. >> kelly: can i get one of these? >> guest: yes. >> kelly: i can buy one of these? >> guest: 100%. >> jeremy: you can buy apple products and have them repaired
