http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12463/7080132?cpt=8&wpid=2637 Fri, 08 Sep 2017 14:12:43 +0000 Bridge Street: Celebrity Class Game 9.8.17 Sistina and TeNesha preview the Celebrity Classic Charity Basketball Game happening next week. http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12463/7080132?cpt=8&wpid=2637 WSYR ABC 9 Syracuse 671-9990. good luck! >> coming back together celebrity classic. >> tenesha: benefits the black and hispanic endowed fund. >> good morning ladies. >> tenesha: here for charity basketball game. >> i started last year helping the henneger. >> tenesha: because it is at henneger high school. >> i'm a graduate of syracuse as well, high school and college. >> sistina: man of many talents. >> i'm all over the place. >> tenesha: tell us about this game. >> this game is going to be wonderful. we were talking about how to raise money for black and latino scholarship funds. we were all conference calling for a while. i got to say up to mi corvetiond we tried to figure out what's the best way to get people involved and get the athletes, not just the athletes but we have so many prestigious graduates from syracuse. we thought what's best, not do a celebrity basketball game and involve the community, as well. >> sistina: why is it important to do something like this for you all? >> it's very important for me as a child who grew up in syracuse, who went to syracuse city schools, who had the opportunity to go to syracuse university, who, without a scholarship i wouldn't have been able to go to syracuse. so that's very important. and it's also to show our youth in our city, and also our graduates, and our underclass graduates, that potential graduates at syracuse, what they can become and also be tangible. you want to be able to come back so they can touch you, see couple talk to you. that's very important in the maturation out there to know that that's out there and attainable. >> tenesha: derek coleman is coming back to be a coach. >> billy owens is going to coach the other side. so -- >> tenesha: that's a battle -- >> they're be frick and fxrack, they don't like to lose to one another. >> tenesha: wait those are football players. >> football players. >> sistina: and basketball. >> and women as well. so lawrence and eric, we don't have just the older guys, we've got some of the younger guys, i talked to preston and james and mello is coming in. it's a buzz. when you become a syracuse -- once you sign on the line you bleed orange and ready to die. >> tenesha: even the family members are ready to die. are you going to be playing or what kind of shape are you in? >> i'm getting in shape, i'm ready. orange and blue, you don't like to lose. we bet on them whether we think they're going to win or lose, we'll ride with our team. this is a time to -- i'm a little older than t younger tha, so i've got a right to be proud. >> sistina: thursday of next week september 14th at henneger high school. $10 for auditorium seating. includes a video simulcast of the game. the game does benefit the black hispanic scholarship fund. thank you for coming. >>
