http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12453/7087305?cpt=8&wpid=2637 Wed, 13 Sep 2017 23:00:41 +0000 Tyler soccer groups to work together to settle differences Tyler soccer groups to work together to settle differences http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12453/7087305?cpt=8&wpid=2637 KETK folks and good evening. neal barton: this week in our because you matter report... the argument over how tyler recreational fields are used continues. city council voting today on the leasing fee increases. caroline hicks: neal they did. originally the city wanted to raise the fees to two thousand dollars per field... today they accepted tyler nat* during the week you'll see tyler soccer association teams playing at fields throughout the city... but not at lindsey park. that park is reserved for games. other organizations like ?? dallas east texas wanting to change this. the fields can be used more. i think the question is who's deciding who can use the fields and when? leaders of tyler soccer association concerned about how this would be fair for everyone. if fc dallas has only 5 lit fields which happen to be most of our large fields, monday through thursday like they proposed, how can tca possibly give their teams practice space? a member of the family who donated lindsey park to tyler... upset the field is only being used 22 days out of the year. i'd like to see a ?year calendar down the road so we know how much money is coming in. we've got tournaments, you could charge for parking. there's many revenues to help everybody. others raising points about the poor conditions of the park. caroline hicks: councilmembers don warren and linda sellers will work in a committee with these organizations and come back to the council with a proposal in january. we will continue to follow this
