The Bulldogs will host the Spartans Friday night Wed, 13 Sep 2017 23:19:15 +0000 Bettendorf football prepares for PV The Bulldogs will host the Spartans Friday night WHBF 3 friday should be a fabulous night for football in bettendorf when the bulldogs host the pv spartans.both teams are playing great and when the bulldogs and spartans meet well it is always a special occassion.dan vasko was at bettendorf practice today(dan vasko/reporting) "at first glance this is a team getting ready for week four on the schedule, but bettendorf's matchup with pleasant valley is anything but your average friday night game. both team's have historically successful programs, they're just over a mile away from each other, and they're both bringing a winning record into the contest. but it's the spartans that have a leg up, as they have yet to lose a game this season." (aaron wiley/bettendorf head coach) "they do everything pretty solid, they're defense looks strong, they run the ball well, they run their offense pretty well and we have to be ready for the speed of things. like i said we just have to take care of our business and we'll be ok."(vasko) after falling to west des moines valley in week one, the bulldogs have responded with two straight wins. and their offense responded as well, scoring over forty points in both games."(carter bell/bettendorf junior quarterback) "i think after week one, we noticed we needed a little more focus in practice and we came in here and started focusing more. we stuck to our gameplan like i said, continued to do our jobs and play as a team."(mason morris/bettendorf senior running back) "i think everyone's just getting comfortable, clicking together, figuring out what's the good plays, what works and what doesn't. and just everyone's working hard to get better.""a lot of guys have touched the ball and i just think it's more than anything, confidence in kids' roles on the team and knowing what they're supposed to do." (vasko) "they'll improved offense onto home turf this friday night, in a game that may be hard to find a seat. and that's exactly how these players prefer it."(morris) "it's a great crowd on both sides. not really paying attention to it, more focused on the game, but i think it gets everyone pumped for the game and just play harder." (bell) "i'm gonna love it at home. i think it's gonna be packed. i think it will be a great atmosphere. hopefully we have a lot of fans, hopefully they have a lot of fans. and get this
