http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12450/7226940?cpt=8&wpid=2637 Sat, 13 Jan 2018 03:51:58 +0000 NECC Tournament Semifnals NECC Tournament Semifnals http://chic.clipsyndicate.com/video/playlist/12450/7226940?cpt=8&wpid=2637 WFFT petar, some big ones up to the north of us this evening..yeah man.. in case any of you haven't heard, the ne-cc is pretty darn good.on the boys side, you have the #1 team in the state in class 2a, the westview warriors..on the girls side, five teams have already accumulated 12 wins or more this season..seems like everyone on the girls side is ranked..makes for a pretty fun conference tourney..???and that's where we begin our coverage tonight.. semifinals of the ne-cc tournament.. on one side, defending conference champ angola takng on eastside..a slugish first half--and we pick it up in the third.the blazers are going to tie it up here halfway through the third.that's senior madison heffley with the jumper.but that's when the lady hornets got as mad as-- well, you know.the pass goes over to sarah devendack--she drives and throws it up off the glass--to give angola back the lead.then they go to the press--and it forced turnovers. they get it back.here's senior regan peppler with the miss-- but she gets it back and goes back up right away for two. angola starting to pull away. but the blazers still fighting. the pass goes inside to kensie rieke --pump fake and the layup goes in--as eastside fights to keep it close.but angola pulls ahead.the pass goes out to reace peppler for the three--she drains it. senior ali cranston led the lady hornets with fifteen--as they move on to the n-e-c-c championship game tomorrow-- with the 52 to 43 win. 3 ???angola moves on to face the winner of 3-a #3 fairfield and west noble in the title game.. ???fairfield came energized. sweet ball movement, and it ends up inside in the hands of senior jordan kintigh .???she came to play.. more kintight. three defenders around her-- but that doesn't stop her. she spins again and gets two off the glass. early lead for fairfield.???west noble looking for a charge-- they get one from junior lauren burns.. from way downtown--and gets it to go.???other end-- the senior erica zook. just a light kiss off the glass with one hand-- keeps the lady falcons in the lead.???but the chargers weren't going away tonight.. this is fundamentals here. the old give and go. angela gross gives to madison shermerhorn-- back to gross-- ???and west noble takes this one 61 to 56. they move on to the n-e-c-c championship tomorrow night. ???in topeka at westview high school for a boys n-e-c-c semi-final game. eastside hoping for an upset of westview on their home court. ???the warriors started hot. here's big man nich rensberger down low with the lay up. ???eastside answers.. they get the ball in the hands of senior riley thompson. he shoots from long range-- and drains it! blazers take a one point lead.???other end-- back into the hands of rensburger down low-- he finds sam sharp wide open-- gets the layup to go--.???next possession-- sharp is having a sharp night. he gets the offensive rebound-- and goes right back up with a spin--???westview extends the lead.???back on the other side-- the blazers sharp shooter riley thompson gets the ball outside the arc-- buckets.???ties the game back up early.???but they're number one in 2a for a reason.. that's elijah hales from the arc--he hits the three.and top ranked westview wins 52-43... wrapping up the ne-cc semifinals, the fairfield boys clinch their spot in the title game with a 51-35 win over lakeland..and that sets up the tournament finale tomorrow night at west
