Jason Valentine has a review of Game Night Sat, 24 Feb 2018 01:22:46 +0000 View on Film - Game Night Jason Valentine has a review of Game Night KVEW welcome back. actor jason bateman has been in the public eye for about 40 years, and he's still one of the more popular actors today. his new film, game night opens today......and kapp kvews jason valentine is here with a review, in tonight's view on film. thanks mike.....jason bateman has always been one of my favorites.....ever since he co- starred on silver spoons in the early 80's. his dry sense of humor is always a great contrast to the craziness around him. this week, he stars in the action, comedy game this one, bateman and rachel mcadams star as a competitve couple who enjoy hosting game night for their friends......batemans brother comes to town to host his own game night.....where things aren't as they seem, and it goes horribly wrong......this movie is a another winner from the creators of the horrible bosses franchise. the start of the film is a slow burn, until it goes bonkers by the midway point. it is a bit of a cartoon, so you never really feel any dread.....and its just a blast to watch a very talented cast have fun with a pretty fresh premise. the directors have a nice style about them, pivoting nicely from comedy to action......the characters are well drawn out, and you care about what happens to them. bateman and mcadams are very charming as always, and they have a good chemistry between them. its r-rated for mostly language, so nothing too gross aside from that. if you are looking for a solid r-rated comedy, you should head out for the
